The long-time legal advisor and Gasteig authorised signatory Stephanie Jenke will assume the management of the Gasteig as of 1 October 2023. The supervisory board of Gasteig München GmbH has chosen Stephanie Jenke as successor to Max Wagner, who has opted to leave the arts centre at the end of September. “Stephanie Jenke already has the experience within the company that is necessary for a smooth transition from the previous management and a seamless continuation of the demanding day-to-day business,” says Deputy Mayor Katrin Habenschaden, who also chairs the Supervisory Board of Gasteig München GmbH. Once the city council has decided how to proceed with the planned redevelopment of the Gasteig in Haidhausen, the position of Gasteig Managing Director is to be re-advertised.

“I’m very much looking forward to this new challenge. I know the Gasteig and its staff very well and also that I have a strong, motivated team behind me. Together we will continue to propel Europe’s largest arts centre into the future with renewed drive.”
