The Meret Festival under the patronage of President of the Bavarian Landtag Ilse Aigner and Germany’s Government Commissioner for Culture Claudia Roth offers music in the spirit of peace and reconciliation.
The musicians
Cymin Samawatie Trio
Cymin Samawatie is a multi-award-winning singer, pianist, conductor and composer of contemporary music. In her compositions, the timbres of impressionism merge with the liveliness of contemporary jazz. Instrumentation: Cymin Samawatie (vocals, piano), Mona Matbou Riahi (clarinet, electronics), Roshanak Rafani (tombak, daf, percussion)
Anusha Nazari
The Iranian soprano is based in France, where she is a member of the opera singing department of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Cergy.
Hahiye Kian
The self-proclaimed “Metal Goddess of Persia” says about herself: “I am indeed one of the few female singers who stands out from the crowd by utilizing Thrash Metal for protesting against dictatorship in the Middle East.”
