Kawa Nemir is a living dictionary of the Kurdish language. Having already translated many classics of world literature into Kurdish, he is now embarking on a new challenge: the translation of James Joyce’s Ulysses.

This novel is considered one of the most challenging reads. In Anne Frank’s former Amsterdam house, which now serves as a residence for exiled writers, he tries to complete its translation.
