He is not only regarded as one of the most important interpreters of virtuoso baroque arias, but also as a discoverer of previously unknown repertoire: together with the ensemble "Le Concert de la Loge", the French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky sheds light on today's unjustly forgotten repertoire.

The programme includes works by J. Chr. Bach, Hasse, Ferrandini, Valentini, Jommeli and others.

With sensual vocal colour and virtuoso vocal technique, Philippe Jaroussky has been considered one of the best interpreters in his field for almost 20 years. The images attributed to him by the public and the press usually come from heavenly spheres: Vastness, height and aloofness play a role here. His voice is “angelic” or “unearthly”; the Süddeutsche Zeitung, for example, once even spoke of the “radiant god among countertenors”. The French countertenor has made a significant contribution to the fact that the often little-known repertoire has found a broad and enthusiastic audience during this period. In the Isarphilharmonie, he will perform unjustly forgotten repertoire.
