The DePauw University Symphony’s current cast comprises the select core of musicians enrolled at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, USA. On past concert tours, the orchestra’s members have given over a hundred concerts in more than 80 cities throughout the USA and Canada, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Royal Conservatory in Toronto and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Ohio’s largest daily, described the DePauw Symphony’s playing as powerful, with a bright, clear sound and a high technical level … clearly highly talented young musicians.

 

Orcenith Smith, the music director of the DePauw Orchestra as well as the DePauw Opera, is a much sought-after guest conductor for concerts by both academic and professional ensembles and has conducted over 700 events.
