His career spanning fifty years to date, Metheny, “one of the most industrious creative engines in jazz” (NY Times), has fronted numerous bands as well as performing with luminaries such as Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman, David Bowie, Herbie Hancock and Joni Mitchell. Beside the duo album Beyond the Missouri Sky with bassist Charlie Haden, it is above all his solo albums that continue to be his most popular with critics and fans alike.
On his Dream Box Tour, Pat Metheny reflects his very different solo productions in various ways and delves into all the ways he played solo over the years.
