We’re all familiar with songs like “Oh Happy Day!”, “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” and the poignant “Amazing Grace”. No other Christian music lifts the soul like gospel.

The term gospel comes from “good spell” and refers to the music’s origins: the congregational song of America’s Black community, it was soon also interpreted by vocal groups, choirs or soloists. Steeped in devotion, hope and infectious joie de vivre, deeply rooted in faith and revealed in exuberant, moving song: The singers of the New York Gospel Show celebrate the spiritual power of the gospel together with an all-star band under the musical direction the New Yorker Bernard Brown. Traditional spirituals, gospel classics and modern hits, such as “Hallelujah” and the “Earth Song” are performed in a show that brings the genre to life – from its origins to the present day. With a top-class line-up and hosted by entertainer, actor and singer Ron Williams, the New York Gospel Show lets its audience experience the whole history of gospel up close with great songs.
