The famous Caprice No 24 by violin virtuoso Paganini is considered one of the most demanding pieces for solo violin. Sergei Rachmaninoff later composed fiendishly difficult variations for piano and orchestra over its theme. In this concert, these will be performed by the talented young French pianist Alexandre Kantorow.
