At the original “Rudelsingen”, people of all ages from all over Germany come together to sing in a large crowd, lending their voices to what essentially is a huge, wonderful impromptu choir. The programme comprises a host of popular hits – from pop and rock classics to chansons, chart hits and children’s songs.

There’s something there for all ages and every taste. All together, it makes for good vibes and brings back memories of years and decades gone by. With humour and elan, the twelve Rudelsingen teams present the chosen songs throughout Germany and take the audience through the songs with instrumental accompaniment.

“Singing together is an enriching experience for us all,” says song leader and MC Uli Wurschy, who also accompanies participants on guitar together with Volker Becker on piano and accordion. With current hits and songs familiar from the radio, the events cater for all tastes. The texts are projected onto a big screen for all to read.
