Founded in 1954 by Karl Richter, the Munich Bach Choir has since achieved world renown. In 2005, Hansjörg Albrecht became its new artistic director, which the Süddeutsche Zeitung considered “a stroke of luck”. Under his direction, the choir developed a new artistic profile and an exceptionally transparent sound.

The Israeli-born soloist Chen Reiss delights audiences and press alike with an “immaculately produced and enticing tone, coupled with outstanding musicality” (Opera News). The soprano soon made a name for herself as a member of the Bavarian State Opera. Numerous engagements have since seen her perform in the great opera houses in Vienna, London and Paris, among others.
