The composer Jing Peng (1965–2023) had a deep connection to HoHaiYan artists. Over the years, he has published numerous interesting pieces of music in Germany, mainly for string ensembles. Jing Peng passed away unexpectedly in March 2023, leaving his family and friends with endless longing. His works will be performed in the first half of the concert, including several pieces from the album Musik Insel (2017).

The second half of the concert is dedicated to Schubert’s String Quintet in C major. Performing will be the two premier interpreters of Jing Peng’s music: the Jade Quartet, which recorded his album, and his beloved wife, the cellist Chih-Hui Chang.
