The magic of music knows no borders and uniquely connects people from different cultures. But what does classical music sound like from other cultures’ perspective? With this Christmas concert, the two formations invite you to celebrate the festive season with them, on a musical journey through centuries of classical music with a touch of the oriental. With Schubert’s Winterreise and classical masterpieces from the Baroque to the modern era.

The evening’s highlight is Franz Schubert’s Winterreise, a Romantic masterpiece that captures the changing seasons with intense emotional expression. The interpretation of Wilhelm Müller’s poetic texts in Arabic and using pentatonic scales imbues Schubert’s work a special, emotional touch.

The “Winter’s Journey” will be joined by a wide range of classical masterpieces, ranging from the Baroque to the present. As it leads you through different eras, this musical journey will shine a light on the multitude of cultural expressions that exist throughout the world. You will hear pieced by Mozart, Pachelbel, Kurt Weill and other composers that transcend both cultural and stylistic boundaries.

Like their music, the performing artists and musicians boast a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, coming together on this night to celebrate the universal language of music and to build bridges between worlds.

Performing will be:
