The popular cross-over and pop tenor Helmut Lotti presents his new programme, Italian Songbook. A collection of Italian hits arranged for large symphony orchestra, it covers a wealth of emotions.

Helmut Lotti had a weakness for Italian songs since his earliest childhood – songs that, with their grand melodies exude sun-drenched joie de vivre and no end of passion and emotion. Through his early interest in classical music, Lotti also came into contact with Italian culture at an early age. He was only too happy to be inspired by Dean Martin and Elvis Presley’s English-language renditions of O Sole Mio and Torna a Surriento.

With his current album, Italian Songbook, Lotti fulfils an old childhood dream. From beginning to end it exudes romance and passion in a perfect balance of intimacy and orchestral grandeur. A delightful, touching old-school listening experience!
