toechter is a Berlin string trio that explores the use of acoustic string instruments in sound design.
Based on their background in classical music, they explore the percussive and lyrical range of their instruments using effects pedals, vocal effects and other electronic aids. By manipulating and sampling their instruments (violin, viola and cello), toechter create a whole new exciting language of pop, full of impressive soundscapes.
