An extraordinary ensemble, the Brass Band München demonstrates its unique versatility with a wide range of challenging brass band literature: from epic compositions like Philip Harper’s Olympus and music from Robin Hood the movie to lyrical and virtuoso solos, such as Bert Appertmont’s The Green Hill.

The band achieves its characteristic sound through its original English instrumentation, which uses, for example, the warmer-sounding cornets in place of trumpets. This concert takes its title from the compositions The Kingdom Triumphant by Eric Ball and Philip Harper’s Olympus, in which various facets of ancient Greece are described by way of music.
