After-work tours
Members of the Gasteig team take you on a guided tour of the buildings and grounds of the Gasteig HP8. The tour includes a walk through the listed Hall E – an industrial building dating from 1926 – and an extensive look at the new Isarphilharmonie with its magical atmosphere and outstanding acoustics.
While the tours with Stattreisen e. V. focus on the location’s history, the after-work tours afford you a glimpse behind the scenes: Learn all about the history of the Gasteig HP8 and the renovation of the listed Hall E, gain insights into the Institutes that reside in the Gasteig and enjoy anecdotes from events and daily operations at our arts centre.

Guided tours with Stattreisen e. V.
The new location of the Gasteig HP8 offers an impressive symbiosis of old and new in a vibrant neighbourhood. Take a guided tour with Stattreisen e. V. and see the new cultural powerhouse in Sendling for yourself. Situated in an exciting part of town and housed in extraordinary architectural gems, our interim location offers a platform for new arts education formats and collaborations. On a tour of the listed Hall E and the Isarphilharmonie, newly built in record time, you’ll find out all about the new opportunities Europe’s largest arts centre has gained with its temporary move.
Stattreisen e. V. offers regular guided tours for a behind-the-scenes look in cooperation with Gasteig München GmbH.

Guided tours of the library
The Munich Public Library regularly offers free tours of Hall E and its Open Library.

Guided tours for groups
As with the after-work tours, members of the Gasteig team take groups on a guided tour through the Gasteig HP8 buildings and outdoor areas. The group tours essentially have the same focus as the after-work tours, providing an in-depth look behind the scenes of the Gasteig HP8, including its history, the redevelopment of Hall E, insights into the Gasteig’s Institutes and anecdotes from events and daily operations at the arts centre.
