Lively, diverse and highly musical: the Amateur Music Day of the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich is always a special experience. The event provides Munich’s amateur musicians with an opportunity to show themselves and present their music on one of three stages. Whether big band or choir, whether Asia, Latin America or Bavaria, whether guitar, mandolin or zither: there is room for almost anything. Munich’s amateur musicians take us on a journey through the wide world of music, with music filling the entire Gasteig, as people sing and play with infectious enthusiasm.
