Lisa Batiashvili, one of the most famous violinists of our time, last appeared on stage with the BRSO with Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. Now she performs Jean Sibelius' no less famous Violin Concerto in D minor, with which she won second prize at the Sibelius Competition in Helsinki at the age of 16.
