Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson has made a name for himself in recent years as a sensitive, world-class artist, and on top of that he is considered an extremely reflective performer.

For Víkingur Ólafsson, categories like old and new music do not seem to matter. In an interview with Concerti he once said: “What I do is very much part of the present. Whether I play Adams or Mozart, everything I experience today flows into my approach and interpretation.”
