A concert for all under-30s. Kyohei Sorita’s fulfilled his childhood dream of playing with a grand orchestra and being enveloped in its sound. Discovered at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2021, where he played his way into the hearts of the audience, he played his debut with the Munich Philharmonic in 2023 with Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 2. Now he returns to the Isarphilharmonie with the Russian composer’s Piano Concerto No 3.

With The Planets, Gustav Holst ventures into the infinite expanse of space. Each movement is dedicated to one of the planets of our solar system, vividly illustrating the celestial body’s mythological characteristics. The Spanish conductor Gustav Gimeno leads the Munich Philharmonic choir and orchestra on this scintillating journey through the cosmos.

The university concert is followed by an MPhil Late that holds a surprise the foyer of the Isarphilharmonie in Hall E.
