Centauri – Pop-up Dance PerformanceGasteig moves
This event is in the past.

Centauri is a series of four mini pop-up performances for six dancers from Munich’s indy scene, devised by choreographer Matteo Carvone and dramaturge Francesco Cocco. These interventions seek new ways of exploring public space in unique constellations and take place on four different days at four different locations around the Gasteig HP8.

The centaurs are mythical creatures, half-horse and half-human. Free spirits galloping at full tilt through a boundless landscape, they embody the wild, irrepressible elemental force inherent in all of us. As warriors, they battle everything that is regarded “normal”. Centauri celebrates the potency of identity, which we should not try to suppress or hide away. Each of the four performances is a tribute to the indomitable strength of those who proudly rise above what is considered normal.
