The Bach Collegium München has been performing the great Bach oratorios in Munich for decades now. Over the years, it has collaborated with renowned amateur choirs, such as the Bachchor Mainz, the Chorgemeinschaft Neubeuern and the Münchener Bach-Chor.

Starting with the 2019/2020 concert season, the Bach Collegium München began to establish a professional choir of highly talented voice students in cooperation with the three Bavarian universities of music in Munich, Nuremberg and Würzberg to perform the sacred music of the Thomaskantor and other composers under the name of Chor & Orchester Bach Collegium München. The choir’s development is sponsored by the prestigious Münchener Konzertverein e. V., which thus provides an outstanding service in the field of promoting highly gifted young people.
