Information about the festival

go drag! munich celebrates drag art by female, trans* and non-binary artists. This year, the festival is taking place from 10 to 14 June at the Pathos Theater, Schwere Reiter, Gasteig HP8, the NS-Dokuzentrum and other venues in Munich.

The first go drag! festival was held in Berlin in 2002 by New York drag king pioneer Diane Torr and Berlin gender performance legend Bridge Markland. Twenty years on, the second edition was held there too. Sadly, Diane Torr had since passed away, but Bridge Markland was now joined by local drag artists Nancy Lund and Olive Baldwin.

With the Gasteig HP8, the Pathos Theater and the Munich-based co-curator – drag artist Ruby Tuesday – go drag! has found a home in Munich for 2024. The 2026 edition once again holds packed programme of plays, cabaret, talks, workshops, parties and panel discussions in store, featuring both local and international artists.

For further information and the full programme, visit the official go drag! website. And make sure to check out the festival’s Instagram account.
