Over 100 cutting-edge documentaries from around the world offer fresh perspectives on today’s world at DOK.fest München: in cinemas from 6 to 18 May 2026 and available to stream @home from 11 to 25 May.
Going beyond daily news coverage, these films tell stories of people, relationships and the realities of life in a host of different regions. The programme is structured around series of films on topics such as Visions of the Future and HerStory – Films about Fearless Women as well as highly endowed competitions and focus topics such as DOK.network Africa and the Student Award.
With its DOK.forum industry platform and its DOK.education programme, the festival serves as a meeting place for the film industry, schools and a broad audience.
DOK.fest München stays dual: to ensure the widest possible participation, we’re bringing the festival both to the big screens in Munich and, in an accessible format, right to your home.
