In 2017, Zoe Wees attracted attention on The Voice Kids talent show and later, during the pandemic, achieved global fame on TikTok. The first German to perform at the American Music Awards, she appeared on a host of US talk shows. Her song Control won her numerous awards and became a worldwide hit.
In November 2023, she released her debut album, Therapy, with further hits such as Girls Like Us, Hold Me Like You Used To, Daddy’s Eyes and Lightning. This was followed by a sell-out European tour in spring 2024.

Deaf performance
Zoe Wees’ performance will be accompanied by Deaf performers Ilknur Warnecke and Susanne Kermer. Deaf themselves, they use sign language, facial expressions and movement to bring music to life for deaf people. Read our Interview with Ilknur Warnecke, in which she also talks about the background to Deaf performance.
“For me, mental health comes first. Always. That’s why I’m delighted to be on stage at the Mental Health Arts Festival in Munich.”

Tickets are free, but we would welcome a donation to help us make participation in the arts possible for everyone.
The arts connect, create encounters and strengthen social cohesion. But not everyone has the same level of access to them. The Gasteig Cultural Foundation is committed to breaking down barriers and making art accessible for all – with translations into German sign language, relaxed performances, mental health projects and free programmes for children.
Help us to promote inclusive cultural projects at the Gasteig HP8 and enable genuine participation.
