Glass was already the subject of Ólafsson’s very first solo album for Deutsche Grammophon, while Debussy and Rameau featured on his third – a striking testament to the pianist’s versatility and the seamless connection between past and present that makes his playing so unique.
Critics praise the Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson as technically brilliant, emotionally moving and “a metaphor for the human experience” (Sunday Times). In 2025, he won a Grammy, and his new programmes are eagerly awaited by an ever-growing fanbase.
