You want to record a song, but the studio fees are just unaffordable? Fear not, we have the solution: Since last year, Munich musicians have been able to use the MusikLab studio in Hall E free of charge. You have three hours to record a song, including set-up and dismantling. Each session is filmed with two cameras, including a 360° view from the centre of the room.

After your session, why not attend our free Mix Clinic workshop, in which a Bavarian Radio sound engineer will help you mix and master your track. The videos are edited by the experts from Medienzentrum München, so you really don’t have any expenses at all.

Many bands and musicians have taken part in Track ’n’ Field since its beginnings in 2018. Here’s a video playlist.

Any genre is welcome and anyone can apply – from solo artists to power trio to 7-piece guitar combo. The only requirement is that at least one band member lives in Munich. In 2023, twelve slots will again be available.

You can apply for the next Track ’n’ Field session from now until 21 April 2023. Just send us an e-mail with information about your band (including sound files, images and links) to bewerbung(at)track-n-field.de
