Theater Grenzenlos: “Mut” (Courage)all about new beginnings and the joys of personal growth
Through shadow theatre, wind, music and powerful physical imagery, a poetic evening of theatre unfolds, exploring longing, community and the power to rediscover hope. Mut is all about looking to the future, trusting one another and taking that first step together.

Mut – German for “courage” – tells the story of people living by the sea who have made a life of waiting, with the sea, ever rushing in the background, a constant source of longing. Only one of them is still looking out to sea, sensing that there might be more beyond the mist than just standstill. Gradually, they start to wake up and listen to each other again. And they begin to realise that the unfamiliar broadens horizons, that curiosity is stronger than fear, and openness fosters community.
Theater Grenzenlos was founded ten years ago with the aim of providing young refugees with a platform to express themselves and to help them integrate into society through the arts. Since then, the theatre company has created numerous plays that have been performed at schools, theatres and cultural centres in Munich and Bavaria.
