Their inimitable sound has made The Harlem Gospel Singers the world’s most successful formation of their genre. This spectacular, electrifying show lets its audience experience the whole history of gospel with great songs.

With their first performances over 30 years ago, they set off a veritable gospel wave in Europe. Their majestically flowing, colourful, silken robes, the powerful choir’s carefully selected great solo voices, the excellent musicians on organ, piano, drums, bass and saxophone: it was the vibrant New York district of Harlem that provided the inspiration for the founders of the Harlem Gospel Singers in the early 1990s. This is borne out by their contemporary, immediately recognisable sound – the result of virtuoso excursions into the blues and jazz genres. Celebrated throughout the world, The Harlem Gospel Singers do not shy away from crossing genre boundaries.

With their inimitable sound, this brilliant gospel phenomenon has conquered the metropolises of America and Europe with a new programme each year: more than 2.5 million people to date have flocked to their shows that are inspired by R&B, jazz and pop.
