The Gasteig HP8 staff choir sings songs all around rivers and streams.

Inspired by the Bachfest, the Gasteig Choir under the direction of Ulrike Wanetschek performs songs on the common theme of waterways – an apt theme, as the great composer’s name is also the German word for “stream” or “small river”. The Gasteig Choir is made up of employees of the Gasteig and its associated institutes – from the Munich Public Library to the University of Music and Theatre. Their current repertoire of songs all about streams and rivers makes for a colourful mix of genres: from folk to pop and rock. If it flows, it’s in the programme. And since it’s the Bachfest, there’s naturally classical music and Johann Sebastian Bach himself.

Come, listen and join in the singing!
