Ten years ago, a spontaneous idea led to a sparkling joint performance of two very different ensembles: Dreiviertelblut and the Munich Symphony Orchestra embarked on their first joint adventure, playing a truly unforgettable concert together, which was even immortalised on an album.

In 2026, they celebrate the tenth anniversary of this special collaboration. For their anniversary concert, they have come up with new orchestral arrangements from Dreiviertelblut’s latest album, Prost Ewigkeit, and will also perform a few of the band’s favourite classics. Under the baton of Gregor A. Mayrhofer, the songs unfold their full orchestral might for an evening that revives the magic of their first joint concert and whisks the audience off into this unique world of sound.

Dreiviertelblut, one of the most distinctive voices on the Bavarian music scene, is known far beyond Bavaria’s borders. The Munich Symphony Orchestra impresses with its versatility, while conductor Gregor A. Mayrhofer, whose roles include artistic director of the Hidalgo Festival, expertly blends the very different sounds of orchestra and band.
