Under the guidance of professional dance teachers at our entertaining taster workshops, everyone can discover their love for one of the most wonderful pastimes of all. Also suitable for complete beginners. And if you think you have two left feet, don’t let that put you off: we’ll have you dancing in no time!
- 3.20–3.40 PM: The Viennese waltz with a twist

- 5.00–5.20 PM: Disco fox
The Odeon Tanzorchester’s sextet
With a repertoire ranging from fiery elegance to sophisticated classical, from well-known, up-tempo tunes to wistfully romantic pieces, the sextet of the Odeon Tanzorchester takes you back to the 1920s, 30s and 40s.
The unusual line-up (violin, accordion, saxophone, piano, double bass and drums) ensures a varied and unusual programme.
Equally unusual is the orchestra’s instrumentation, which features a Stroh violin (a rare violin with a metal resonator and horn). The stage outfits are as authentic as the music, taking you right back to the era of dance palaces and swing as soon as you enter the hall.
