This event is in the past.

The Munich-based Odeon Tanzorchester brings the music of the 1920s to the 1950s to life. Come and dance Viennese waltz, foxtrot, polka, tango, swing and more on the grand stage of the Isarphilharmonie.

For all generations; duration: until 5 PM

With a repertoire ranging from fiery grace to classical sophistication, from the familiar and upbeat to the wistfully romantic, the sextet of the Odeon Tanzorchester whisks us off us to Buenos Aires with its tango, to the café of Paris, to the wild Berlin of the 1920s and 1930s, to Vienna and its cosy Heurigen pubs.

The instrumental line-up, which features a Stroh violin (a rare violin with a metal resonator and horn) and the musicians’ outfits are as authentic as the music, taking you right back to the era of dance palaces and swing as soon as you enter the hall.
