SoulFood Delight concerts are food for the soul. With the musical skill and passion that the singers bring to the stage, the choir can by now be heard well beyond the borders of Munich.

In 2019, SoulFood Delight received two major awards: at the Carl-Friedrich-Zelter-Choir Competition in Heilbronn the choir achieved first place; and at the competition “Sing Dein Bestes” of the Bayerischer Sängerbund, SoulFood Delight took part “with outstanding success”.

Led by Patrick Prestel, the choir has taken the novel step of using microphones for the bass and beatbox voices to create a powerful sound and dynamic groove. The spectrum of songs ranges from Ariana Grande and Madcon to Pharrell Williams and Prince, from Bob Dylan to Natalie Cole. Exciting arrangements by Pentatonix, Maybebop, Vocal Line and others characterise the choir’s demanding and varied repertoire. For its modern interpretation of the folk song “Dat du min Leevsten büst”, SoulFood Delight received a special prize in 2019. No less varied than its repertoire is the choir’s sound: soft jazz, groovy R&B and catchy pop, performed with the precision and intensity of adept and versatile voices.
