The Munich-based Anatolian rock and post-punk trio Sinem released their debut album, Köşk, earlier this year. Conjuring up the spirit of she-punk, singer Sinem, like an Iggy Türkpop, moves across the stage with a lizard-like sense of purpose. With deaf performance

Her every movement filled with meaning, Sinem employs her voice with equal purpose. If you have known Sinem for any length of time, you may be forgiven for feeling that she lives her life with the sole purpose of doing what she is doing now: making music that casts a spell on you.

Sinem comprises singer Sinem Tagar (Friends Of Gas) on guitar and Tom Wu (What Are People For?) on drums, loops and production. “Ya-veya yok oldu!”

Deaf Performance

Sinem’s performance will be accompanied by deaf performer Ilknur Warnecke. Deaf herself, she presents a performance alongside the band, using sign language to make the music visible and accessible for all the senses.

If you are hearing-impaired and plan to attend the concert, we would ask you to let us know at kommunikation@gasteig.de.
