Together, the exceptional artists present an exhilarating performance that breaks down the boundaries between rap and classical music. In a total departure from familiar conventions, drums and electric bass are replaced with the unlikely combination of cello and clarinet.
MIKIs Takeover! Ensemble performs modern songs in the classical idiom, with a repertoire that includes perceptive, imaginative arrangements of the music of Joy Denalane, Max Herre and Stefanie Heinzmann.
