Though also an outstanding pianist, Julia Fischer’s next appearance in the Isarphilharmonie will feature her on the violin, performing Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Vasily Petrenko.

Counting among the world’s top violinists for 20 years now, Julia Fischer can also look back on a successful career as a pianist and has even performed a violin and a piano concerto on the same night. She has received a number of awards. The Neue Zürcher Zeitung wrote about her: “with such a powerful presence, such elegant virtuosity and so far removed from any trace of sentimentality […] her sound is radiant and she fills the moments of suspense with vivacity.”
