Discover the public library in HP8: The Night of Libraries is taking place throughout Germany on Friday 4 April 2025. Under the motto “Wissen.Teilen.Entdecken” (Knowledge.Sharing.Discovery), libraries big and small, specialised, public and academic libraries will open their doors to the public on the first Friday night in April, inviting you to venture on a tour of discovery.

Beats & recording lab

4 to 7 PM, 1st floor, MusicLab

You like writing lyrics, composing melodies, singing, rapping, or have grooves going round in your head all day long? 5elements and its director, music producer Daniel Siebertz aka Provo, invites you to a free three-hour session on the first Friday of each month: Write your own lyrics, record on professional sound equipment, compose and produce beats with Provo, learn some of the techniques and tricks of songwriting and digital music production or just hang out and chat with other budding artists.

Nadel-Treff knitting and crochet meet-up

5 PM, 2nd floor

Come along and knit, crochet and talk shop with other fans of knitting and crochet. Please bring your own knitting and crochet utensils. For adults and young people.
