Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s fast-paced overture to Così fan tutte opens with flair and energy. Carl Maria von Weber’s Bassoon Concerto, a masterpiece straddling the Classical and Romantic periods, was composed in 1811 for the then principal bassoonist of the Münchner Hofkapelle. In his final symphony, Mozart pulls out all the stops to showcase his brilliant skill. The artfully crafted final movement earned the symphony its nickname, Jupiter, and a firm place in the canon of music history.
