Inspired by Argentine folklore and a modern musical language, Ginastera liberates the harp from traditional clichés.
The programme concludes with Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. In his last completed composition, Rachmaninoff takes stock of his musical life, not without reams of rhythmic energy.
Members of the ODEON-Jugendsinfonieorchester and the Munich Philharmonic will take to the stage together to perform this gripping programme in celebration of the ODEON’s 20th anniversary.
