Miroca Paris has long toured the world as a sideman to great stage personalities and is currently one of the strongest artists of the new generation of Cape Verdean music.
During a career spanning more than 20 years, the singer, percussionist and guitarist performed for a decade with music legend Cesária Évora, recorded a Grammy-winning album, toured with Madonna and flourished on stages with his own music in four continents.
Based on his extensive rhythmic knowledge, Miroca Paris developed his own unique guitar playing technique: propulsive, playful, surprising and fresh – enriched with the famous longing music of his homeland.
His raw voice in combination with dreamlike trumpet, rhythmic creole bass and drums, as well as two guitars and impressive percussion shape the musical style of Miroca Paris.
