For over three decades, the Canadian artist Loreena McKennitt has been exploring the many facets of Celtic music in her unique blend of folk, world music and pop. On this tour, she is accompanied by a band of long-standing collaborators.

As well as many favourites, her latest tour will focus on her seminal 1994 studio album The Mask and The Mirror. With this album, she says, she pursued paths of inspiration. It explores fundamental human questions concerning the existence of God, religion and spirituality.

Loreena McKennitt’s acclaimed performances combine music and storytelling, inspired by her exploration of Celtic history. Her hallmarks are her crystal-clear soprano voice and her versatility as a musician on the harp, piano and bandoneon.

McKennitt has sold over 14 million albums worldwide and more than 1.6 million in Germany alone: an astonishing triumph of musical poetry.

In 1985, she used her savings to produce her first album and set up her own record label. As one of the few truly independent female artists, she has since had sole control over the choice of songs, production, design and distribution of her work.
