The Kimuntu project takes us on a musical journey into the heart of Africa, celebrating one of the continent’s oldest and most popular musical traditions: the Congolese rumba, which is now recognised as intangible UNESCO cultural heritage.
The programme presents rumba in all its diversity and its manifold variations, together with other musical styles that have emerged from it.
