Her bright, lyrical tone and seemingly boundless dynamic range are unique and unrivalled. The “lioness of the keyboard” Khatia Buniatishvili is a phenomenon in concert halls around the world. Her search for an inner connection to each piece and composer she plays is both intense and personal: “We are at the service of the music, the composers; but as mediators between them and the audience, we also reveal our own emotions. In a way, this makes us vulnerable, but it also creates a deep, human connection,” says the Georgian in an interview with BR-Klassik.
