Please note: Khatia Buniatishvili has fallen ill and, to her and our great regret, will not be able to perform at the Isarphilharmonie on 1 December 2025 as planned. The piano recital will be rescheduled, and a replacement date is currently being sought. We will announce the new date as soon as possible. Tickets already purchased remain valid.
The evening’s focus is on Chopin: a ballade, a scherzo, a sonata and a nocturne, complemented by pieces from the oeuvres of Bach, Mozart, Liszt and Tchaikovsky.
The “lioness of the keyboard” Khatia Buniatishvili is a phenomenon in concert halls around the world. Her search for an inner connection to each piece and composer she plays is both intense and deeply personal: “We are at the service of the music, the composers; but as mediators between them and the audience, we also reveal our own emotions. In a way, this makes us vulnerable, but it also creates a deep, human connection,” says the Georgian in an interview with BR-Klassik.
