Director Chris Columbus’ 1990 FILM Home Alone continues to delight generations to this day. For many people, the film centred on Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is an integral part of winter and the festive season – not least thanks to the two unforgettable chaotic crooks, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern).

With Home Alone: Live in Concert, the cult film is now being transformed into a special live experience that will premiere in Munich this coming December. Whilst the film is shown in its full length on the big screen, the Prague Royal Philharmonic and a choir perform the film’s score in perfect sync with the action. Together, they create a soundscape that conveys the story’s emotions directly to the audience – at times warm and moving, at times thrilling and full of energy.

John Williams’ music is far more than just a backdrop: it lends the action its splendour, heightens both the grand and the quiet moments, and, when performed live, gets right under your skin. Experience this all-time-classic movie in a whole new light – more intense, more intimate and more vivid than ever before. In two performances, the Isarphilharmonie will transform into a place of winter magic, deep emotions and suspense.
