Together with the Kammerorchester Wien-Berlin, she will perform Mozart’s first and last violin concertos – two works that reflect the full breadth of Mozart’s genius: from light-hearted, carefree numbers to profound masterpieces. Previn’s Violin Concerto No 2 is a tribute to the violinist’s virtuosity that blends classical form and modern harmony. The programme is rounded off by a solo piece by the Iranian composer Aftab Darvishi that showcases Mutter’s extraordinary expressiveness.
