Ivo Pogorelich will delight the Munich audience with his innovative keyboard magic. Already a legend, the Croatian piano virtuoso, who was named an Ambassador of Goodwill by UNESCO and whose unique career has been met with both acclaim and criticism, has been variously dubbed an enfant terrible, a genius and a pop star. Especially early on in his brilliant musical career, his groundbreaking, unconventional playing, coupled with his charisma, evoked all manner of reactions, but never indifference. His formidable skill on the piano and intensity of play, focussed on a reduced, dense work, have left their mark on the art of piano playing.
