Our 40 hours of Gasteig kicks off with a picnic with live jazz beneath Ayzit Bostan’s PLAY mirror ball – the glittery centrepiece of our anniversary season.
You can pre-order picnic baskets filled with breakfast treats, but please bring your own picnic blankets.
The music is provided by the Julian Blumenthaler Trio, who blend the tradition of manouche (gipsy) jazz with modern influences to create a captivating musical experience. Their unusual line-up of violin, double bass and guitar produces an energetic, acoustic sound that is both sophisticated and expressive. Subtle musical nuances combine with virtuoso, playful skill of the highest order – passionate, lively and captivating.
