Hiromi’s last solo concert in Munich was a world class performance: Intricate cascades, dreamy miniatures, vehement runs – Hiromi’s virtuosity and joy of playing add a shine to every song.

Exuberant temperament and breathtaking power are the hallmarks of the pianist. Despite being already hooked on jazz as a child, she initially trained as a classical pianist before meeting her mentor Chick Corea at the age of seventeen. From then on, her career went from strength to strength. Hiromi is nothing less than a natural phenomenon. Or in the words of All About Jazz: “Hiromi is to the piano what Hendrix and Van Halen are to the guitar.”
